The new FK12 and FK24 flat cables from Sonnenrepublik are a world novelty: For the first time, it is possible to run DC high-current cables from solar modules through a window or door into the interior! Typical application: balcony solar power plants in rented flats without an outside socket. From now on, it is no longer necessary to drill holes in window frames or house walls or to always leave the window open a gap wide to lead the thick solar cables inside.
Our new flat cables are only approx. 0.2mm thin in the area of the window or door lead-through (compare antenna cable for window lead-through: thickness 2-3mm!), but can conduct direct currents of up to 24A largely without loss. To fix them to the window/door profile, they are provided with a thin double-sided adhesive tape on the underside, which can also be left unused. Outside the feed-through area, a weather-resistant, flexible rubber tube is used, which has the usual MC4 solar plugs at both ends.
Key features:
- Total length 3.2m (1m rubber cable + 22cm flat cable + 2m rubber cable).
- High-quality MC4 connectors
- Continuous current carrying capacity FK12: 12A, FK24: 24A (approx. 10% above the rated current of typical standard solar modules with 350-450Wp when used single or double in parallel)
- Total loss Pv at 11A: FK12: < 4.5%, FK24: < 2.9
- Made in Germany
