A solar charger with a power bank is the ideal combination for charging mobile devices on the go. This is because a power bank can simply be charged using solar power whenever your smartphone is fully charged or cannot be charged directly with solar power. It then serves as a power supply at night or when there is low light intensity.
The power bank also has another important function: many smartphones require a minimum charging current. For example, the iPhone requires approx. 400mA and the iPad approx. 800mA. This means that in low sunlight, charging is not only slower, but may not work at all. However, the right power bank can also be charged with lower charging currents, temporarily store power, and provide the necessary minimum charging current at the output.
Not every power bank is suitable for temporarily storing (buffering) the power from solar chargers and supplying connected devices with power at the same time. The Energy5000 and Energy10000 are suitable buffer power banks for securing your power supply on the go. As a particularly compact buffer power bank, our Powerbooster offers the lightest solution for save supply of solar power on the go.
