Many mobile phones and tablets require a minimum charging current, which solar chargers cannot always provide when there is less sunlight. This is where the patented PowerBooster-Cable comes into its own: it automatically ensures that the threshold power is safely reached and thus optimises the power output of solar chargers. At the same time, the PowerBooster is a small power bank.
The PowerBooster-Cable is a world first. It is the first USB adapter cable that increases the input current electronically up to a maximum of 1.5A output current. In addition, it contains a power bank with integrated Li-Ion battery. Simply connect the PowerBooster-Cable to the charger and the end device. The latter will then be charged periodically. Alternatively, the entire battery can be discharged into the end device (power bank operation).
In addition, an ultra-bright warm white coloured LED is integrated. It can also indicate the batteries charge condition via a flashing signal.
The power output is periodically switched on and off during a cyclic operation. The duration of the cycles depend on the intensity of the input current. Even when the latter is fluctuating the PowerBooster-Cable ensures a stable and low-loss charging of USB devices such as smartphones or tablets. It is particularly suitable for charging devices with a minimum charging current of up to 1000mA (e.g. iPhone: 300-400mA).
