Flexible lightweight solar module with stable 12V output
It could hardly be more user-friendly, lightweight and stable: simply place the Surf14 solar module in the sun, plug it into a power bank or connect it directly to the battery – the integrated charging electronics make it possible. The highly efficient solar cells are embedded in a seawater-resistant, UV-resistant and semi-flexible film laminate with glass fibre reinforcement. This makes the Surf14 the perfect solar charger for boats, camping vehicles and other applications where light weight with high performance is required. It is also ideal as a charger for notebooks or tablets: together with a 12V powerbank such as our MP20 or MP24, you get a perfect self-sufficient power supply for the mobile office that also fits easily into any travel bag.
Attention: The Surf14 is not suitable for direct use with USB end devices or USB-powerbanks, because it produces approx. 14V output voltage (USB: 5V). Our special powerbanks MP20 and MP24 make it 5V USB, but also 12-24V.
Our know-how in all components
We only use high-efficiency components of the highest quality and materials from the aerospace industry. Due to the solar cell efficiency of 23%, our Surf14 modules produce a nominal power of 14W on an area of only 31 x 27 cm and with a weight of only 370g. The MPPT converter/charge controller for 12V batteries, specially developed for the Surf modules, ensures that the power arrives where you need it without any significant loss.
The Surf14 module can be glued, drilled and screwed in the edge areas or attached with ropes at the four large eyelets in the corners (see 2. picture). If you then connect the module with its 2m long cable and the DC hollow plug (5.5 x 2.1mm) to a suitable 12V power bank or with the battery connection terminals to your 12V battery, you can immediately generate your own solar power – independent of the socket.
