The new semi-flexible and ultra-light half-cell solar modules of the SMF series from Sunman are particularly suitable for mounting on lightweight roofs or also for balcony power plants. Unlike conventional glass/aluminium modules, efficient monocrystalline solar cells are used here in a glass-fibre-reinforced film-based laminate and, despite the absence of a front glass pane, achieve a high level of reliability even under normal mechanical loads in long-term outdoor use. The foil structure can also be easily glued or screwed to the rear side; drilling through the laminate in the edge area is no problem here. In addition to the extremely low weight per unit area of approx. 3.3 kg/m2 , the lightweight construction also makes installation much easier and faster than with conventional solar modules. The 144 half cells are arranged in 2 sections connected in parallel, which significantly increases the shade resistance of the module.

The two approx. 30cm long connection cables with MC4 connectors are led out at the front and thus allow flat mounting on even surfaces. A mounting adhesive suitable for the modules is also available as an option.

The SMF430F modules come from the renowned manufacturer Sunman and are among the few foil modules on the market that are certified according to the current solar module standards IEC61215 and IEC61730. They come with a 12-year product warranty and a 25-year linear performance guarantee on 85% output.
